thought for today:|
einstein is a well known genius.. but he was doin poorly in school and then he decided to work hard and develop his knowledge of other things when he dropped out.. and 'other things' dont only mean math & science, he also had violin classes, and well, others.. he then used those knowledge to focus on something he was really interested in. i guess his story shows how one can do so much if he puts his mind into it. someone said that not everyone can be like einstein. but really, if you think about it, einstein's no special guy. he just had a lot of perseverance. people are afraid of failure, and of defeat.. when trying to accomplish something, there's a very little possibility that a single hint of failure wont happen. that's just how things are. you win some, you lose some but every time u lose, the question is whether to get up and try again or give up and forget it. a lot of people get so discouraged from failing that they decide to give up. some are even ashamed that they tried because they failed. but.. how will you ever learn if u dont try and keep trying? life is certainly not about perfection, it's about learning from all your mistakes and in the end, realizing how much those trials have formed you into the person that you are now. of course there are risks, such as living your whole life trying but it is impossible for someone to keep trying without learning anything from it. little trials are present in everyday life, most of those go unnoticed and when you look carefully at everything you do, you'll see.. bits of you are the way they are because of these trials. if you haven't done one thing and chose the other, there's definitely something that's going to be different about you. like einstein for example, if he hadn't failed the test to get a diploma for him to be an engineer, he won't be able to have all that knowledge and free time that he used to discover "e=mc^2." well, maybe he could have created something bigger but if he didnt discover this, who would?
"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."
"If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut."
"Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts."
"No, this trick won't work...How on earth are you ever going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?"
- Albert Einstein (stolen from here)
einstein's one great man. and yes, he is a genius, but he wasnt born one, he made himself one. and he is definitely a great inspiration to us all. :) we can't expect to be as great as he is though, but we can be close.. :)
entire thing inspired by..
